Originally from Regina Saskatchewan, Spike has been a resident of the Windsor area since 1956.
As a photographer for over 30 years, he holds the Master of Photographic Arts of Canada, with over 100 merits for photographic excellence, awarded in Canada.
He has 7 photographs in the National Archives in Ottawa.
He also holds 25 Merits for photographic excellence with the Professional Photographers of America, and holds two of their degree awards.

He is also a member of the prestigious American Society of Photographers (ASP)
He has self-published 2 full colour pictorial photographic books on Windsor and the surrounding area.
